Vogue 8259 Chanel pattern? Anyone willing to help? Vogue 8259 pattern

I saw almost 30 years, so I thought I'll try to make a Chanel jacket. Beautiful (perfect!!!) fabric and buttons are waiting, but the (perfect) pattern for the three-piece sleeve I can't find anywhere. Does anyone can help PLEASE and sell, borrow, exchange (maybe need something available in Europe?) I just need the sleeve pattern only as I find the jacket too boxy for my figure. regards from the Netherlands Violetta

Date: 3/13/11 5:01 PM If all you need is the sleeve, Vogue 8087 also has the three piece sleeve, and can be found on both etsy and ebay right now. I tryed on Ebay, but I don`t see it right now, and Etsy?... we don`t know it in Europe (or I do not know it?...). I read that sleeve from Vogue 8087 gives some problems with fitting, so I am desperate to put my hands on V8259, because I loooove my fabric and it really must turn out perfectly... Oooeh... I have bought from etsy sellers without any problems, however. There have indeed been some problems with earlier printings of Vogue 8087, (the corrections have been discussed here at patternreview), and I understand your desire to have the correct sleeve. One thing I don't understand, though: You say you need the sleeve pattern piece for Vogue 8259, but in your message you imply that you are not in fact using 8259 for the body of your jacket, because the style is too boxy for your figure. The problem with this is that the sleeve for Vogue 8259 is drafted precisely to fit the pattern pieces of Vogue 8259, not any other patterns. If you are using some other pattern for the body of the jacket, then the top of the sleeve must be identical to the sleeve that belongs to the pattern you have chosen--unless you choose to use the online tutorial for drafting your own three-piece sleeve pattern. At this point, my best advice would be to go to ebay and type into your search box Vogue 8259--and the size you wish--and then click on 'Save Search.' Then ebay will email you whenever someone offers this pattern. It may take a little while, but I find that things you are searching for turn up surprisingly often on ebay if you have Saved your 'Search.' -- Edited on 3/13/11 7:29 PM --

Yes ... when I could not sleep last night ... !!!... thinking about the sleeve, I came up with that the sleeve just has to fit into the base... exactly what you're saying. I'll try Ebay, and in the meantime I hope that someone on the PR has a pattern and will be able to share. Ooooh, I think I have a Chanel - virus ... I am very unfamiliar to find my way here, but it is so nice to know that somewhere far away there are people who understand your passion! I will keep you updated. Thank you and regards!

I'd love to borrow or buy this pattern. If borrowed, I'll return it immediately after I make a tracing. I prefer the larger size, but I can enlarge a small one. If anyone has one, please let me know.
