Hello, I'm looking for a pattern for a woven top that looks like a t-shirt and haven't had any luck. Something with a good amount of ease, set in sleeves, and a pocket. I've tried drafting one myself, but I'm not too happy with the results. Thanks in advance for any help!

This is a Kwik Sew tee for wovens. It has bust shaping, but is a loose garment (as a pullowever woven tee must be). The neck is finished with a facing, but you could employ a bias self-binding, carefully applied. And of course, a pocket could be added.

Here's another.

You'd certainly want to make a muslin to check the fit.

Another possibility for a woven top with drape is to cut it on the bias, as Marcy Tilton shows in this article.

Thanks, that first kwik sew is perfect!

DOes anyone else have any suggestions for your favorite woven tee top patterns?

I picked up S1693 but haven't tried it yet. Not sure if I will like the
feel of non-stretchy after knits, but maybe it could be on the bias?
I liked the tapered floaty bottom and flare sleeves for a little dressier look.

This Burda bias tee is fast and easy and looks good on. It was my first bias attempt and my muslin worked well.

Also the Sorbetto is tremendously popular with many iterations--the pattern is also free. Here.

Thanks for the links to the Burda and Sorbetto. I should have stated that I am looking for something cut on grain (not bias) and that already has sleeves drafted for it. I have drafted a few versions and have not been happy with them, so I was hoping someone out there would have an alternative for me! Thanks all for your help!

I'm watching this thread with interest. I have never been happy with a pull over woven. They just aren't comfortable or have that floaty look like on the pattern envelope models. I'm wondering if having a larger bust could be part of the problem. No matter what I do, the "girls" always seem to tent out the woven and there it sits.

Unless your figure is thin and stick-straight, I fear you will not be pleased with a woven, on-grain tee without any shaping. Bias with a fair amount of ease has so much more potential for flattery--but perhaps you are one of the lucky ones who can wear anything.
