I came across this site for organizing sewing patterns and wanted to pass it along to the PR members. I've only given it a cursory glance but it looks interesting.

http://www.pattern-file.com/

NAYY-This info came from a costume group I belong to.

I took a look and it sounds interesting. Not sure it makes sense for me, financially, to get the annual update subscription but I'm glad something is out there like that.

Best feature: auto-fill on the pattern info INCLUDING sleeve photo!!!

I'm still going to download the trial version to get a closer look. Thanks for the link!

Downloading the trial now - esp. excited about a mobile app!

I have a database that I use now, but this looks way better!

Eh I used the trial a few weeks ago but it wasn't for me. It was really focused on envelope patterns and since my collection is 90% magazines, there was zero improvement there from just having the at a glance scans in a picasaweb gallery with plenty of tags, which is what I do currently.

It looks interesting and I'll download the trial later today. The one question I have though is about how they deal with vintage patterns. The numbers are often reused. I'll have to take a closer look.

Does anybody know and could share experience with Stich-n-Stash from Wild Ginger (NAYY)?

According to their website information, with Stitch-n-Stash, you can:
- Catalog your fabric stash, pattern collection, notions, books, magazines, and other publications, and sources of supplies.
- Catalog your current and finished projects.
- View your fabric stash along side your patterns to determine which fabrics may be suitable for each design.
- Print your fabrics, patterns and notions information to take with you to the fabric store.

It looks like quite a bit of work to set this massive archive up -- but I am really tempted to give it a try.

No experience but I really wish there was something out there that worked with bar codes like I've seen for books and DVDs elsewhere.

Fabric remains a problem but packaged notions would work, I think.

Hope someone else has more info.

All my books are logged at LibraryThing and I used the ISBN to enter almost all of them.

Bumping up -- a couple of members indicated they were going to try the Pattern File sofware.

Any reviews since using either the free trial or signing up?

Thanks for sharing your experience!!
