My friends bought a church some years ago that was in... well.... ROUGH shape. But it is full of the coolest things. It has some sort of mid-century stainless steel sink that is the most amazing sink I have ever laid eyes on. I am utterly in love and want one.

What makes this sink so awesome you ask -- the drain controls are right next to the faucet. No reaching though murky dye water to drain the basin. Just reach over and yank up or down, and like a bathroom sink, it drains!

My google-fu is failing me. I don't even know if this was intended to be a kitchen sink. But I want one, and I want it baaaaad. What is it? How do I get a newer one? (And don't suggest cat buglary -- this thing is huge and they'd KNOW it was me! )

I'm thinking you'll need to post a photo.

It could be a laundry tub/sink, I guess.

I'm requesting a picture. We'll see. In the meantime, I'll take any and all ideas!

Try googling for commercial sinks. That's probably what was used since it's in a church.

My sink isn't a commercial one but it does have the drain knob at the front of the sink - love it !

I know the Kohler brand has these types of drains available. You could try checking out their site.

I saw this feature in sinks after I had ordered my sink and really would love to have had this option. I think the one I saw was a European brand of stainless sink.

What would you suggest kitchen sink and kitchen faucets should be placed in the corner or at the middle of the counter top?
