Canadian sewists can sew parkas and other garments!
Just looking to connect with other Canadian sewing enthusiasts as well as sewists from elsewhere.

Parkas? We need raincoats or mesh mosquito repellent suits right now.

A parka, muklucks, mitts and a fur scarf would have been ideal a few months ago!!

Now I want to sew the equivalent of a portable, wearable tent made from mosquito netting. Either that or we are going to have to start carrying our own blood transfusions kits here... it is getting brutal.

Welcome Cisco - hope you enjoy Pattern Review. There are a few of us Canucks lurking around the place. We pop up when you least expect it. I am on the west coast, so still pretty soggy out here this year.

Hi! I'm new to PatternReview and would also love to connect with other Canadian sewists. I hail from Blyth Ontario on Ontario's West Coast (that's Huron County's marketing slogan)

I love to sew, especially heirloom. I'm in Ottawa, Ontario, but I have lived in different parts of Canada as well as the States thanks to DH's military career.

Hi ConnieBJ! I actually lived in London up until about 7 years ago, and I still work there :-)

I checked out the Canadian Thread link, but there's not much recent activity out there at all. Much more is happening here.

I'll put out a better post later everyone (hi all!), but I have to run today.
