Didn't know what other department to put this topic under, so here goes. Some of you may know that my family is full of police officers. They don't always want to make it obvious on their time off that they are carrying a gun. There's not much out there for concealed carry clothing for women so I am trying to come up with some. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

TIA,
Kaci

There was a thread a while ago about this very topic: carrying concealed.

Perhaps that will have the info you need.

JEF

How do you carry? Shoulder rig? IWB? Ankle?

Right now I have IWB, thigh and ankle...all depends on what I'm wearing. Some outfits even with all of these options it won't work, so I was looking for other options. I have started a blog for women who CC, and am trying to post many options.

Saf-t-Pockets may have something.

I will try to add a link later.

I like http://www.saf-t-pockets.com/ but the fashions aren't really for younger women. I am trying to use their concept to come up with something though, thanks!

I agree, the clothes on that site seem more geared toward travelling and wanting to conceal money rather than a handgun. I feel for you. I've got a long waist, add that with lowrise jeans carrying IWB (even my airweight 38sp) is a bit dicey. I end up wearing a big shirt over it if I'm going that route. I'd love to create my own purse, but haven't found the right pattern/design yet. Love the Galco purses but haven't been able to justify the cost. Coronado Leather are nice, but they're getting "old" to me. I have one that I bought several years ago that I use sometimes.

I don't generally carry a purse anyway, I'm more prone to forgetting it. Also, if a BG grabs my purse, they have my gun now too. I have a Crossbreed IWB Minituck that works great with my LCP but I don't always wear pants that accommodate a belt. Keep an eye out, I hope to be posting some of my own designs soon here and on the blog. Thanks for the replies.
