Date: 7/27/11 1:17 PM some of the Burda's just have nothing in them I like but I can always find one thing that might be fun, then I put it off for later and it never gets done. I have several magazines that still have the patterns in the middle and what a waste that magazine was. I started thinking it would be fun to find an make at least one thing out of each one of these. It could be your burda collection.!!!! Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? I may even go back to my old issues which is only to 2009 and find the issues I made nothing out of and pick something. I think it would be fun. |

Date: 7/27/11 2:24 PM Ooh, I love this idea!! Since this isn't a contest, does it matter if it's an item we've already got cut out and waiting in the queue?
P.S. My stash of Burda magazines (except for a couple of Burda Plus magazines) ends at March 2010. I plan to start buying them again when I can, but for now they're all from early 2008 to early 2010. Does that matter? Oh, and is Burda Plus magazine also included in this sew-along?

Date: 7/27/11 2:47 PM You must have been reading my mind!! I've been thinking about doing this for a long time. My Burda collection goes back to April 2004, so I would have a lot of sewing to do. This would give me the push that I need to get started, so count me in. ------ Yardage sewn in 2008: 12.75
Yardage bought in 2008: 12 |

Date: 7/27/11 7:25 PM I'll be in that! I have a "stack" of Burdas and it has been worrying me that I don't use them enough. What a challenge this will be!! Any time frame - or just as and when we can?

Date: 7/30/11 4:28 PM Since it is more like a sew along I think it would just be nice to post what we have made as we make them. |

Date: 7/31/11 4:27 AM Ok I have rounded up my Burdas and found 23! I have selected the first garment to make (from my oldest issue) - 1/2002 128. I have a knit fabric that I think will work and it will go nicely over a shirt I made recently. Now to trace the pattern.

Date: 7/31/11 6:25 AM Great idea! I hope to chime in along the way too. There is at least 1 item from what I have and I only have 15-16 issues. I can't afford to renew right now but I have tons of patterns from all of these.
