Hello,
The upper looper thread on my serger (BL Imagine) will not join in with the other threads. I have inserted new needles, re-threaded the machine, etc. Am I missing something else?

Thanks in advance for your help.

is your thread seated properly into the top tension slot? The machine will still operate, but the looper thread won't catch if it isn't. You should hear a click when the thread is properly seated.

Just had another thought ... Is the stitch selector in the correct position? Proper type of needles (HAx), proper threading with threads seated firmly into tensions, stitch selector on correct position...I can't think of anything else.

The HAx needles are VIP, the wrong type can prevent the threads from catching properly.

I use ordinary sewing machine needles in my Imagine. No problem.

Be sure the needles are all the way up before tightening.
