It looks like just a couple of additions to the Ellisimo including some light auto digitizing right on the machine with the included tablet which looks impressive. I wonder how much this baby's going to run...

Will current Ellisimo owners by able to buy an upgrade? I didn't realize the Ellisimo had so much harp space.

All I can say is I want one. Too bad don't have an exta 10K laying around. That is one beautiful machine.

I have an Ellisimo with the upgrade. It doesn't look to me like this new machine offers anything new, beyond the "digitizing tablet", which I presume will only allow the creation of very simple designs.

Am I missing something else new in this machine?

It also looks like it can offer different color combinations of a design without having to change them all yourself. Other than that I don't see much either. It looks like a mini upgrade again. I doubt very many will go to it if they already have the Ellisimo, but could be wrong.

Viking just did that with the Diamond now also, adding a couple things and then calling it the Diamond DeLuxe. My local Viking dealer sells many machines and she only had one trade in for the new Diamond from an older Diamond. I guess it was a customer who always needs the have the latest and greatest. Other than that she said that she hasn't had a lot of interest trading in the original Diamonds for a new DeLuxe.

And, of course, there is the parallel new Brother Quatro -2 (called the 6700D rather than 600D). It seems to be exactly like the Elissmo gold; and I can't really tell what the major difference is from the prior machines, and it does seem you can (?cost) Upgrade older version to newer with software update.

Is anyone seeing the weekly or so Pfaff creative sensation 6.0 teasers?

I spoke with our local dealer and there is also going to be an upgrade for those of us that already have an Ellissimo. They don't have pricing yet.

I don't even get the color combo thing. I mean, sometimes I pick out colors that are *close* to what they have listed...but I buy my thread from places like threadart and even if I did buy the stuff with the correct color #....I guarantee I'd never have exactly the right one.

Anyway, that's just me I suppose tons of people do actually pick the correct colors.

I purchased the elissimo gold last week and brought it home. I am an experienced embroidery user on other machines and no matter what I do I can not keep the thread from breaking. I don't even sew 1,000 stitches and it breaks. I have many hours into trying different things. Back it goes tomorrow to see what's up. I sure hope I did not make a great big expensive mistake. I am still in love with my Bernina Artista.

Which Artista? I can't get enough of my 730e because everything I sew on her turns out so nice with no problems. The Ellisimo Gold sure is a beauty though. It will be interesting seeing what's up.
