My sewing studio

It is a 12 x 24' free-standing building about 300 feet from our house (we have about 20 acres). Not shown (yet) is the loft where I keep my fabric stash. Back wall--machine work table. I use bar height stools and often stand up when I'm doing something quick. The cutting table is 4 x 8' and is closer to counter height. http://www.jkimes-studio.com/assets/images/MachineTable.jpg Bins hold color-organized remnants, patterns and interfacing. DH made the rack to hold stabilizer--much easier to find what I need quickly. http://www.jkimes-studio.com/assets/images/Bins.jpg Changing area--we installed a copper rod with a curtain to create a changing area that doesn't take away any floor space when not in use. The large mirror is from a fabric store my mom worked in when I was in high school and college. I love the rack mounted under the table for your stabilizer roll. What a great idea...and all the widows so you can get lots of natural light...and the full length work counter...and the loft for storage of large amounts of yardage is a super space saver. Great job.

I also use Kwik Sew and Jalie patterns quite a bit. Most of my stabilizer in on the rack on the wall to the left. Believe me, I know how fortunate I am to have this space, and know I will probably never have another space like it once we leave this property--just trying to really enjoy it while I have it!
