I haven't watched much TV in the past.. the dogs don't allow me time to really get into the story line.. Mostly I listen to shows such as American Idol..
But I am really stoked at some of the new shows coming out.. not so much for the storylines.. but for the promise of fashion.. such as we have seen with Mad Men..
Pam Am looks promising.. as does Smash with Katherine McPhee of American Idol.. as does the Playboy Club.. those dresses should be really upscale.
Of course it would be nice if some of the shows are interesting to watch also for their stories. I tried to get into Internal Affairs but dropped it after a couple of episodes.. no particular reason.. Will probably watch the X Factor since one does not have to watch.. but simply listen..
So is anyone else interested in the new upcoming shows for any reason ? It will be fun to see if any of them turn out winners.. |

Date: 9/19/11 12:13 PM There are so many re-makes... I wonder does anyone in Hollywood ( or NYC or wherever else they produce shows) have any originality & creativity....
I know there is a new Charlie's Angels...and I saw a commercial for Hawaii 5-0 last night... REALLY?? If I must relive my childhood again, can I at least have my girlish figure back??
and dont get me started on UNreality shows...sick.of.them.!!
that said, The kids and I watch Comedy Wednesdays on ABC ( Modern Family and The Middle especially) so we're looking forward to the season premiere...
and I didnt start watching Grey's Anatomy til this year so with one of my childhood idols ( Debbie Allen) joining the cast, I most certainly will not be missing that ( now to get the previous seasons on DVD to play catch-up)
Judging by commercials, there will be quite a few shows I wont be able to stomach ( Monster in law for starters)

Date: 9/19/11 1:36 PM I am waiting for Pan Am, just for the clothes, lol. I so wish Mad Men was coming back sooner, but it won't be back on until 2012. ------ http://talesofawannabeseamstress.blogspot.com/ |

I was a bit disappointed in the casting of the new Hawaii Five O.. everyone looked so young.. no mature actors as they helped make the original more credible..
Not sure Charlies Angels was not for its time.. we shall see on that one.. of course I missed the recent movie takes on that show.. so what do I know.. others may love it..
I wasn't aware of any Monster In Law show. just like I have not heard much on the McPhee show.. mostly New Girl and Jesse.. neither of which I will probably watch..
Only watched the Greys Anatomy when Sally Fields was in an episode or two.. Love Debbie Allen though.. so might tune it for those also.. |

I was so sorry when they took American Dreams off the air.. so disappointed.. I could remember those days so well.. having been told to me by my grandmother of course..
Now I am wishing I had paid more attention to Happy Days and the clothes worn on that show.. other than that same dress Marion always wore.. |

Date: 9/19/11 2:35 PM I've been looking for a replacement for LOST ever since it went off the air - so I'm looking forward to seeing if Terra Nova on Fox is any good. Must be a total nerd, since the only things I watch on TV are Jeopardy and Nova. The time travel story line sounds really intriguing. ------ Suo ergo maledicto
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. - Steve Jobs |

Date: 9/19/11 2:49 PM I'm looking forward to the playboy club. Starts tonight. And not it's not about sex as everyone seems to think it is. Fox has a few new shows on that look good. Most of the things I'm looking forward to are just my regular shows starting. Sons of Anarchy (started) Big Bang, Law and Order Suv, The Middle, Criminal Minds, Mike and Molly. I tend to watch more of the series on the premium channels then network. Keifer Sutherland in new series for fox coming on as a mid season replacement. ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com |
