Date: 9/19/11 12:03 PM I have been seeing lots of pretty lace on purchased tees, blouses and shirts. Any ideas on how to embellish with lace? I have lots of lace that I'd love to find a use for. It's not doing me a bit of good sitting in a plastic tub.

Date: 9/20/11 2:09 AM I agree. There are just beautiful lace embellishments now.
I also have a tub (or two) of laces and am trying to incorporate them into my sewing.
Adding a piece to the neckline of a T-shirt, with a gathered piece of silk and a few embellishments creates a very beautiful - and comfortable - top!
It also can be used to trim a denim skirt (my go to choice for most errands) - add some beads and a few embroidered motifs! Such fun!

Date: 3/1/12 5:18 PM I like the look of adding a lace yoke overlay at the shoulder tops of a basic T style, you can do the front only. It seems the rolled flowers and ruffles at the neckline are not as much around this spring.
Also it works well with framed "altered art" projects for your walls. |

Date: 3/1/12 5:36 PM how about adding it as a hem finishing to a lining? Gives it that extra special touch. |
