Subject: Patterns with B/C/D cup sizing Date: 10/9/11 10:51 AM There are now a lot more patterns with B/C/D cup sizing and I was wondering what experience others have had with these patterns and what size pattern did you buy?

Date: 10/9/11 11:59 AM Ditto on still buying by snug high bust measurement. Then I just use the D cup. I just made a multi-cup blouse and I didn't need any further FBA alterations.
If you buy by your full bust, you're still going to run into the problem of it being too big in the neck/shoulders, etc. Nothing else except the bust fit is different about these patterns. ------

Date: 11/2/11 11:25 AM Thats what I have been doing also. Still buy an 18 then use the D cup. What I find interesting about these patterns is how little difference there is between the different cup sizes. I didn't measure, but it looked like it was around 1/4", which would be about right as I usually have to do a 3/4" FBA.
Still have to move the bust point down 1" or more, but a lot better than having to do an FBA. ------

My understanding is that you measure your high bust, and use that as your 'bust' measurement. However, I haven't sewn any of these patterns, so I may be wrong  .------
