Date: 11/6/11 5:34 PM The fabric choices listed by Vogue for this pattern are Quote: FABRICS: Dress A, B, C, D, E, F: Crepe, Interlock Knit, Gabardine, Lightweight Flannel, Double Knit and Lightweight Tweed.
I think a stable sweater knit--say a double knit-- would work fine. |

Date: 11/6/11 7:29 PM I don't have it yet but I saw a pretty blue sweater knit up at Joann's. If I remember it was pretty stretchy. |

Date: 1/27/12 7:26 PM Did you ever find a pattern for your sweater knit? I have 3 yds of a lightweight sweater knit that I got on sale a JoAnns. I love the fabric, but I just can't come up with a good pattern for it! It might have to wait until next winter if I don't find something soon!

Date: 1/27/12 10:13 PM I think I saw a similar knit at Joann's today. I almost bought it. I bought a similar knit at Joann's in the fall. I bought it for a dress but thought it would be too stretchy. I made a top out of Simplicity 2852
It is my favorite top right now. I was thinking I wanted that blue for another one and I may go back and get it.
That Vogue is very cute! -- Edited on 1/27/12 11:01 PM -- |

Date: 1/28/12 11:33 AM As long as your sweater knit was quite stable, I think it would work. I would not try it on a sweater knit that was loose, loopey, or fragile. But I have noticed some some very stable sweater knits around lately. |

Date: 1/28/12 12:23 PM I think I bought some of the same sweater knit at Joann's- I'm not sure it's going to last three washes, it was sticking to itself after one and stuck to everything on my sewing room floor.
