Date: 11/15/11 1:13 PM They got me again They are having a "pyramid" sale that ends today, which discounts your order a certain percentage based on the total, PLUS a free mystery bundle with a $75 purchase. There are some really nice wools and silks in their clearance sections. I just picked up 5 yards of the geometric design wool, 3 of the JNY sand linen, 3 of a nice woven silk suiting, 3 of a JNY wool suiting, and 4 of a nice tan/buttercream plaid wool. Nothing was more than $7/yard, and with the pyramid discounts it was even less. There were a few other fabrics that I would have loved to pick up, but I forced myself to stick to the sale items There's a gray/burgundy striped wool knit that is AMAZING. I'm hoping it shows up in clearance at some point.... Soon I'm going to need to move to a bigger place to have room for all my fabric ------ http://reddthreads.wordpress.com/

Date: 11/15/11 1:57 PM I have been soooo good lately. I haven't bought anything from them in 3 whole months! I placed an order a month ago when they first put out the free mystery bundle, then felt guilty and cancelled it.
Now though, the pyramid savings, plus new Julie's picks, great sale fabric AND a mystery bundle...I caved!!! ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 11/15/11 3:13 PM Just note that the pyramid sale doesn't apply to Julie's picks.
Of course, that didn't stop me, and now I have some fabric and a mystery bundle soon to be heading my way. I haven't ordered fabric in ages, and I don't know whether I'm more excited about what I ordered or seeing what's in the mystery bundle! I must be crazy.

Date: 11/15/11 4:17 PM I still haven't gotten my Julie's pick swatches, and I just noticed them some are already sold out, or very little yardage is left! It looks like a lot of good stuff this month, but I worry that when I get it my choices will be gone. Being on the west coast sometimes doesn't work out with Julie's picks since often my choices are gone when I get the swatches.
They used to let your Julie's picks fabrics count towards a free bundle didn't they?

Date: 11/15/11 8:21 PM The fabrics I ordered only came from Julie's Picks and I was able to get a free bundle. I did not receive the pyramid discount though. On the website, in the Julie's Picks section it explains how site-wide discounts don't apply to Julie's Picks. It would have been great to have been able to get the pyramid discount too, but obviously it didn't stop me from ordering.
I am on the East Coast. I got my mailer yesterday and ordered this morning. I have found throughout this year that many Julie's Picks fabrics sell out. While there are some Julie's Picks with a lot of stock, many of Julie's Picks fabrics have very nominal yardage available. Less than 10 or 15 yards! That is annoying considering that I paid for swatches and then by the time I get them the fabric isn't available. And I agree that you are at an even bigger disadvantage by being out west. I'm not sure what a good suggestion for Fabric Mart would be.

Date: 11/15/11 9:54 PM I got my swatches on Saturday but they weren't available on the website to order til yesterday.
Yes, the free mystery bundle is based on dollars spent so the Julie's picks counts for it. I was just excited for the first time in awhile for some of the fabrics in them. I loved the cobalt blue stretch wool!!! I bought some of the black too.
It was all the things combined that made me break my fast from Augusts...three months...never thought I could make it that long!!! ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |
