Did you find those letters?
Here is a UK based company that ships worldwide;
http://thewoodenletterscompany.com/index.php.
You can choose your size, font, pattern, free standing or wall mounted.

Please check out this website - notonthehighstreet.com, Alphabet train like your link in the other thread. International shipping too.
If you really want them, I could always get them for you and post them over to you??? Might be less for shipping??

You are so sweet. I looked briefly at the site. I will have to spend more time looking it over.
For now, I think the idea is dead. I have all of next year to plan ahead and find what we can afford. I did not think letters would be so expensive. Craft Warehouse had some, but they were less than 2 inches tall and way too small. Blocks might not be any larger, now that I think of it. I still want to check those out. It was a fun game last year and I can just imagine the messages my hubby will leave me if I get an entire alphabet.

I could leave him the messge "I want a Bernina for Christmas". I wonder if it would do any good?

You'd need 4 'a' blocks for that one!!

Perhaps a cheaper alternative would be re-positionable wall decals?
They have a good selection of alphabet decals on Amazon, with both upper and lower case letters, several of each.
[I have been looking at them for the walls in my sewing room]
Also Amazon USA has lots of kids alphabet letters, at reasonable prices. I just put in a search for 'alphabet letters'

another thought - cheap magnetic wallboard and magnetic kids alphabet? Also on Amazon

I must say you sure are creative in your ideas. I think I will just buy the blocks, so he can make all the words he wants and not be too limited. My DH does occasionally love to leave me messages.

One year I stayed with my Mom a couple of days before Valentines Day. Mom got lonely often, and I so enjoyed being with her while I had the time. I miss those visits now that she has passed on. Anyway, I came home to find "Happy Valentine's Day" spelled out in candy hearts! I laughed so hard I thought I'd never stop.

It has been about 15 years since he did this and I will never forget it. I loved it and will remember him doing this all my life.

Last Christmas I got to bring home the Noel letters from her estate. We made a few words from them and had a hoot who could out-do who. He won, of course. I want to keep the new tradtion alive, so I'll just buy some blocks in the toy dept and when I decorate next week, we will have fun again.

I think I'll spend next year searching for letters or just buy some nice think wooden ones that stand up on their own and paint them Christmas colors.

Your original post reminded me of the fun we used to have when our children were small, and we did things like that. That's why I went searching for you. Sadly, my family is spread around the UK now, and all busy with their own lives. I hope they remember the fun we used to have with word games.
I hope you have success next year in your search, and if I can help, let me know.
