I am being told this is Rayon, it's super soft and very stretchy. It looks like cheesecloth, but it has a lot of stretch. It has a very open weave with an irregular, knotty like feel.

I would like to figure out then name so I can find a place to purchase.

I am not sewing anything. I grew up watching my grandma sew on a singer with a foot trundle. My handiness stopped at quilting. As much as I like creating things, my fear of a sewing needle through my finger is more likely than a wonderful unique creation :)

What is this photo from? Where did you encounter this fabric? To me, it looks (and sounds) exactly like a microfiber chenille sweater I have. If that's the case, you may not be able to find yardage. I checked into it a few years ago, and it seems like they don't really work those chenille yarns into just *fabric;* it all goes straight into RTW sweaters/throws/etc.

I came across it here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.149258195134369.30023.148079958585526&type=3

I need yardage instead of pieces like they're selling. She said it's 100% Rayon and super soft and stretchy.

Thanks!!

I followed the FB conversation to her website: http://jdvintageprops.com/newborn-wraps/ ...which made me think my idea about it being chenille may be correct, since it looks like she stocks finished items only. You can buy rayon chenille yarn for knitting and weaving, but that probably doesn't help you!
