I want to search for vintage (or modern) jersey fabric that has this type of print. Not the leaves and flowers, but the border print intended to be at the bottom of a hem or at the wrist end of sleeves. I thought maybe it was called a 'story' print or a 'border' print. I don't think either of those are right it because I am not finding much with those terms. I have in mind something like a maxi-dress. example 1, example 2 (I Love!)

A large single design that is repeated every yard or so is called an engineered print. A fabric with a specific design that runs along the selvage is called a border print. A 'border' print can also have the design running through the center or along both selvages.

Weird, I just saw that first dress on the Bravo TV show featuring the consignment show. Was that you trying to sell the dress? It looked nice....shame it wasn't a Valentino.

I would call those something like" large scale border print"....even scarf prints, at times.

Diane S, Thank you! I will try my search using those terms! I really appreciate the information.

KimG, thanks for the resource!

Dresscode, nope, not me. I just liked the print on the dress, and these are harder to find these days.

Thank you to everyone!

Beautiful fabric. Lilies of the Valley are the flowers (I wanted to show off my knowledge!)
