What do you call this type of print? Print name?

Not the leaves and flowers, but the border print intended to be at the bottom of a hem or at the wrist end of sleeves. I thought maybe it was called a 'story' print or a 'border' print. I don't think either of those are right it because I am not finding much with those terms. I have in mind something like a maxi-dress. example 1, example 2 (I Love!) -- Edited on 11/30/11 0:11 AM --

A fabric with a specific design that runs along the selvage is called a border print. A 'border' print can also have the design running through the center or along both selvages. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

Was that you trying to sell the dress? It looked nice....shame it wasn't a Valentino. I would call those something like" large scale border print"....even scarf prints, at times.
