Date: 11/30/11 4:38 PM Did anyone else watch the online webinar last evening about this Sure-Fit pattern grading system? It seemed very logical and a good way to produce a fitting shell ( not the same as a true, non-ease sloped).
Was wondering the response of others? |

Date: 12/1/11 3:01 PM I don't know if it is still available....but if you email Margo Martin at ASG (ASG.org) I think she was the contact person. |

Date: 12/2/11 7:27 PM Glenda has a massive number of Utube videos on her website.

If you spend some time trolling through the videos you'll get a good idea how the system works. Like all fitting systems it's based on good honest measurements (the honest part sucks doesn't it) and following her measuring system. Her method of measuring the bust is different than I've ever done but is essential to provide necessary "wiggle room". I went to a bodice workshop with Glenda and got a good fitting shell which I've used to make three well fitting blouses (only one has been reviewed). Glenda is very good about providing customer service for fitting via internet or Skype.

Date: 12/10/11 12:15 PM I have been out of the sewing loop for awhile. I have the SureFit for shirts and pants and I like both. I still had to tweak a little but it was WAAAY less than normal. Also I took pics and sent them to Glenda and she would give me advice that worked. I REALLY want to get back sewing!!!
I like to use this system with other patterns to get them to fit better vs the create and design my own. HTH! ------ Relax, don't get your elastic all twisted up in your waistband!
Hell hath no fury for the poor soul that sews an ill-fitting garment! Thank God for Surefitdesigns.com! |

Date: 6/4/12 8:07 AM I have no one to help me with fitting and am thinking about buying the SFD system. Could you explain how it works? I mean how do you sew a garment after you make your fitting shell? I've seen a couple of results photos and they did not seem to fit all that well, frankly; kind of tent-y tops/dresses, and the pants had wrinkles, smiles, or whatever you call them in back. This is a big investment, but I've been very discouraged about fitting myself by myself, so it would be worth the money if it actually works! |

Date: 8/9/12 0:31 AM Klutzy I'm not sure if you're still around, but there is a huge ongoing conversation on Stitcher's Guild forum and Glenda Sparling joins in the conversation frequently. I'm excited to attend one of her classes at the ASG conference next week, and plan on buying the whole kit. ------ Bernina 730E, 530, and 350PE
