Forgot to separate some whites from a colored article and now a white shirt is very faintly pink. I airdried it and washed it again twice with non-chlorine bleach but does anyone have any other suggestions? I guess I can try real bleach next but have always been wary it may do more harm.

I don't know what brand name it would go under in the US, but here in the UK you can get stuff which is specially designed to take the colour out of fabric which has been subjected to exactly the situation you just described. Maybe someone else can suggest where to buy in from in America.

Here in the UK you can get it from the supermarket.

I think there's a product in the laundry aisle just for this purpose- wherever they sell detergent.

Powdered Oxyclean might do it or there is a Rit dye remover product as well

Rit Dye remover worked great for my dh's white gold shirts. He had washed them with a blue golf shirt and the whites looked sort of tie-dyed.

Rit dye remover sounds familiar. Thank-you everyone. I'll give it a try!

RIT color remover should do it.
