So I promised at the DC PR Day to organize a Baltimore trip after the holidays, and I figure it would be good to pick a date sooner rather than later. We have to go with a Saturday since A Fabric Place is not open on Sundays.

eta: the plan is for January 28! Snow date Feb 11.

The tentative plan:
Guss Woolens at 11 am
229 Park Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland

DeBois Textiles for vintage clothing and fabrics
1835 Washington Blvd. Baltimore

• Coffee/tea/snacks near A Fabric Place, tentatively at Pepe's Pizza
6081 Falls Rd at Lake Ave, Baltimore

A Fabric Place aka Michaels in the afternoon. They are having a sale!
6324 Falls Road Baltimore, MD

Post in this thread to get a pm of cell number if you want to meet up!

Also with facebook event page

Oh dang it... I joined the Fabric Fast for 2012. Maybe DH and I can do a Baltimore day-trip and we'll see how disciplined I can be. LOL.

Nikki,
Thanks for organizing this trip. I would love to get together. New fabric or just inspiration is always good. Late morning with quick lunch/snacks would be great. At this point any Saturday is open. Michael’s Fabrics may have its January clearance sale.
Minggiddylooloo I count on you since we all had such a good time last month. Thanks for detailed directions/information about shopping in DongDaeMun Complex.
Looking forward to January trip.

I've added a survey to the first post.

There is also a notions factory that MissCelie mentioned in the PR Day thread as sometimes having sales to the public. I'm not sure when their sales are, though. Fashions Unlimited

minggiddylooloo, even if you are on a fast there are probably buttons or interfacing or linings that you need to sew up the stash that you already have!

Haven't had many survey responses yet, I'll see what we get by the end of the month and then make an executive decision...

We returned from MN earlier this week and expect to be in town for awhile. Really looking forward to all of this! (I filled out the survey, I'd love to get to A Fabric Place to visit with Michael and Sherri)

Right now I'm leaning toward 28 Jan, with a snow date of 11 Feb. But we'll see how the survey is next weekend.

Also open to suggestions for lunch/coffee venues that are preferably near either Guss Woolens or A Fabric Place.

I can offer a few carpool spots in my car, with pickup at the Greenbelt (green line) metro station. Greenbelt has a huge parking lot that is free on weekends.

The 28th should work with us, we will be driving in from NoVA. Since I've never been to Baltimore I'll let others pick the food venues.

I took the survey. I'm fine with any of the dates except for 2/11. I don't have suggestions for lunch.

I can't do anything until Feb. but at least I have a good excuse - going to Vegas! Hey maybe I'll win big and can actually afford to buy more stash.
