Date: 12/14/11 12:31 PM in browsing the 'net just now I came across some long john style pjs at nordstrom in a pretty cute fair-isle-ish winter sweater print, complete with reindeer and snowflakes (!).
Has anyone seen such a fabric? A knit would be good, but a woven would be great too (contrast shirt facings! oooh!). I looked over at spoonflower and found a few things searching for "fair isle" but, alas, no reindeer and snowflakes.
I'm beyond wishing for this for this year, but what a stellar stash builder to keep around for wintry sewing projects it would be! Thanks in advance everybody. ------ "You have a better life if you wear impressive clothes." -Vivienne Westwood |

Date: 12/14/11 1:16 PM Target is selling sheet sets with a red/white fair isle pattern. They cost $20 for al sizes so you could make a bunch of pj's out of king sized sheets ------ sarah in nyc

Date: 12/14/11 1:43 PM Look at Etsy, a search for reindeer fabric yielded over 400 hits. One
that looks good to me is sold by BlackberryPlaid. (I have no connection to them.) |

Date: 12/15/11 8:46 AM Try connecting threads. They had six or seven imitation knits last year...one or two might still be around on clearance.
Here is the link: http://www.connectingthreads.com/WinterFun_CD114.html
They have three, and two different colors of each. None just like your model, but snowflake, "bunnies and trees", and Argyle (which looks more like Intarsia than Fair Isle) -- Edited on 12/15/11 8:51 AM -- |

Date: 12/15/11 12:00 PM wow! thank you a ton! those prints from connecting threads are just what I had in mind, and why I didn't think of searching for "reindeer" (or sheets, duh) is beyond me.
