Date: 12/14/11 11:09 PM Amazon lets you flip through the book, and it looks like it will be good. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 12/15/11 8:05 AM It looks really good. I have learned a lot just from hearing interviews of Sarah Veblen. She comes at things from so many angles that it tends to broaden my perspective. I am currently taking a fitting class by her and she really covers what you need to know. Sometimes, with my sewing books the precise detail or photo I want isn't there, but with her - a lot of truly relevant detail gets covered. Love that! |

Date: 12/15/11 8:25 AM Thanks for this post. I did see some helpful information in the preview. I also love the photo of the women waiting in the ticket line in their lovely, and well-fitted suits. ------ Barb

Date: 12/15/11 8:37 AM I WANT THIS BOOK! Just the preview pages show that is filled with such solid, amazing information. Just the photos showing the different pulls and wrinkles and how to adjust them is worth every penny!
Does anyone know when it is going to be released. ------ Deb: www.thinkingcouture.blogspot.com |

Still waiting for a book to explain how to fit on your own body. That is the real home sewists issue. |

Date: 12/15/11 9:32 AM I am going to pre-order. I usually wait on this type of book, but I already know that it will be useful. i have another fitting book, that I understand as how to work with the pattern, but the neat thing about Sarah, is she frees you from the confines of the pattern itself, and helps you fit as though the body is the true pattern. She doesn't leave you hanging, but actually answers the questions between the questions... so I am expecting the book to be great:-) |
