We all need to turn around some of the negative effects of globalisation - exporting exploitation, carbon emissions for transport from far flung places, job losses. We could use some lists like that here in Europe too. ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn

be aware if u find it in discount stores it will most likley have a mark on the under-side of the handle .. that mark means its a factory second.
ive been to the fiestaware factory many times .. its near pittsburgh.
llbean makes some stuff in the usa - the classic ll bean boots r made in maine.
near sea naturals makes some great organic threads from cotton grown in the usa. i had lots of shredding in the sewing machine but, my friend seems to have no problem using them in her serger.
there are some other thread makers in the usa - lots of polyesters, though. ------ Drag queen quilter! |
