YAY thanks for starting this thread! I'll be checking this often to get USA made brands in the front of my brain when I need something. I'd like to add the Warm Company to this list! I think most sewists know this quilt batting is made I. The Pacific Northwest here I. The great ole US of A.

What a great idea to have products listed as being made locally. We all need to turn around some of the negative effects of globalisation - exporting exploitation, carbon emissions for transport from far flung places, job losses. We could use some lists like that here in Europe too.

i think i remember buying all-clad pots+pans b/c they r made in usa...

be aware if u find it in discount stores it will most likley have a mark on the under-side of the handle .. that mark means its a factory second.

ive been to the fiestaware factory many times .. its near pittsburgh.

llbean makes some stuff in the usa - the classic ll bean boots r made in maine.

near sea naturals makes some great organic threads from cotton grown in the usa. i had lots of shredding in the sewing machine but, my friend seems to have no problem using them in her serger.

there are some other thread makers in the usa - lots of polyesters, though.

Karen Kane clothing is made in the US. A boutique shop by me carries her line and price wise they are no more than similiar items from China in Macy's.

Martin, Taylor and Carvin guitars. Although you're going to pay a fortune for the first two they are certainly worth it.

Oh, I'm so glad to see that Oreck may be made here. I'm in the market for a new(bag)vacuum. Has anyone had any experience with Oreck?
