I just joined FoPR and can't for the life of me figure out how to get the 10% discount at JoAnn's. Can someone please tell me how to go about getting the discount? Hopefully I can use it at a store and not only online.

This is the main reason I signed up, I figured it would pay for itself over the next year.

Thanks!

Reba

Hi, I printed out my Friends of PR membership receipt which was emailed to me and the list showing member benefits, including the JoAnn's discount. I presented my printouts and photo id to the cashier who had to page the store manager who approves and signs the discount card that is issued at the store.

Happy shopping and welcome to PR.

I printed out my membership card from this website under my account information. I believe I "applied" on the Joann's website and Joann's mailed my discount card which I presented at my local Joann's. The manager had to check all the documents but now I get 10%. It only took me a few days to get the mail from JoAnn's. It is a really good deal. I didn't know that they could issue the card right at the store. I carry both my PR membership and my JoAnn's discount card.

I could do that...but I didn't get an email. I thought I was supposed to confirm through email and there was a page that had a link to send another email bit I never got that one either. Maybe more time is needed for it to get to me.

Any other suggestions in case the email never arrives?

Thanks! Somehow this little perk eluded me. I just signed up. It says it will take 3-4 weeks to get my card.

I doubt that it will take that long-I think they said two weeks when I signed up but I got it in less than a week. I was very surprised. Of course, alot of people are off this week so maybe it will be awhile.

My card took a month. I applied in September and mentioned to the cashier at J's a month later that I had not received a reply. She gave me 10% off and a card to fill out. In the meantime I received my card the following week. Since J's is 35 miles away, I had to wait until the next visit to show them to the manager. He signed one and tore up the second one. I think I finally received my card in the mail after emailing a second time asking when it would arrive.
