I'm thinking about making a faux fur vest and/or coat and can't seem to find any furrier closures. Does anyone know of a source, preferably online? I don't know if they can be sewn on after the garment is made or during. Any advice appreciated!

I've seen then in person at Fabricland and on the internet at SewTrue. Here's the SewTrue link:

Dritz still makes them, stock #767-66. If you have a fabric store that has a bridal section you might find them there.

Ready to wear is sold in standard sizes. Haute couture often requires significant alteration before it can be worn by the customer (I recall reading a piece in which somebody commented that "of course, most of the buyers will end up having linings put in these gowns".) Bespoke tailoring is similarly removed from Ready to Wear.

If I may ask, which section at Fabricland? I looked there yesterday and found nothing but the itsy bitsy hook and eye closures. I will try SewTrue. Thanks!

CleanerSupply and MJ Trims both sell different versions of these closures. If you just want the wrapped hook and eye, Cleaner's Supply has them, and their customer service is great.
