Anyone use this with success?

I downloaded it months ago on my Ipod Touch and found it cumbersome. I have the paid version.

I recently got an Ipad and thought I would give it another try. It says you can use a bar code scanner now with it which would make things SO much faster. But, I can't figure out how to use it. Anyone use it? I have it turned ON in settings but I still can't figure it out. I looked on the App Support website for it but didn't find anything.

I didn't realize they had barcode capability added on!

After I turned it on, on my i-phone, I noticed "scan bar code" in the pattern list just below the green bar that has the number of patterns listed. Just click on that and it will automatically zoom in on the bar code.

Now I'm going to go play with it some more!

I am so glad to hear about the bar-code scan capability. I got it when it was still free but after it lost my 200+ patterns for the fourth time i refused to spend days entering the info again...I might consider using it again now....

I got an IPAD from Santa and bought this app immediately. I have spent the holiday cataloging my patterns. Sometimes it does not find any information for the barcode, especially if the patterns are older. And for Kwik Sew, it never found information if I scanned the barcode, but if I entered the pattern company and the pattern number, it would successfully retrieve pictures of current Kwik Sew patterns from their website.

I ended up getting rid of about 150 patterns and really sorted things out. I love it!!! I do wish that the app had the ability to filter show me only the pants patterns, or only the shirt patterns, for example. I have categorized all of them, but haven't found a way to use the categories. If someone knows how to do this, please tell me. But, in the mean time, just having all of my patterns available to look through when shopping or day dreaming is wonderful!!!!

This one I use all the time. Scroll to the very, very top of the pattern list then type in the search term. Just be sure to enter the category into the pattern itself first.

Thank you Mariyka. I will be thrilled if I can get this to work. I will probably spend more time filling in some of the other fields too. Off to try it out.....

Thanks for bringing this up. I have this App but I don't use as I found it cumbersome. I'll update with the new scanner and try it again.

I played with it some last night. I tried about 20 Vogue patterns, designer ones, just because they were the closest. I managed to get about 70 percent scanned and imported. Those that didn't, just didn't show up in their database. I only started sewing 4 years ago so these patterns aren't that old.

The scanner was finicky too. I had lots of light but it still seemed to not want to pick up the codes. I had to do a lot of fiddly with it.

I'm trying to decide it it's worth it or not to put all my patterns in their.

Does anyone know how to sync Sewing Kit on Ipad with Sewing Kit on Iphone? I entered a lot of patterns on the ipad 'cause it's bigger, but they don't show up on the iphone, even though I've synced both several times through itunes. Otherwise, I love it! Thanks!
