Santa brought me an Accuquilt Go Cutter for Xmas and I have an embroidery machine....so I'm curious about the companion embroidery DVDs. Has anyone used them and can you provide comment about ease of use and well, how the whole thing works? I'm wondering how accurate I would have to be about lining things up on my embroidery machine.
thanks

I am wondering the same! I am not a quilter, not yet, that is. I just placed an order for the Go cutter and some dies. My aunt has just become a dealer, and my Mom and I are her first customers:).
I know that my aunt has purchased the Heather Feather dies and companion embroidery CD. She has not had time to work it up yet, but I will ask her all about it and post if you haven't gotten an answer yet by then!
ETA: How are you liking it so far? Do you find it easy to learn? I am pretty excited. Even though I haven't done traditional quilting, I do quilted totes, crafts, and applique. I got mostly applique dies for now.

Raye Ann, I look forward to hearing about this as well. I just got my Go in a few days ago, and am so excited. I found it so easy to produce perfect cuts! I made a 12 inch block in no time! This thing will be a super time-saver.
I already want tons of dies!

I will be sure to post any info I get from my aunt. She is super- duper talented and creative, so I cant wait to see how hers turn out. She also just got a new Bernina 830( sewed on her Artista 180 heavily for at least 10 years) so she is all set! I am sort of living vicariously;).

I haven't purchased any of the DVD embroidery designs yet. The prices are a bit high for untried waters, so to speak. I keep looking around for reviews but I haven't found any. I'm not sure how many designs are even provided, I can't tell much from the packaging.

SO I'd love to know about others experiences.

thanks

Still don't have anything to post about the embroidery CDs yet, but my GO! arrived today. I am so excited! I am pretty surprised at how small and compact everything is. Can't wait to get started! Still expecting to get feedback from my aunt soon about the embroidery.

I have purchased several of Sarah Vedeler's embroidery designs for the Accuquilt Go! shapes. The designs are beautifully digitized and work perfectly with the Go cutter shapes they match. For me personally, Sarah's Be Dazzled is one of the best embroidery "bang for the buck" sets I have ever purchased. There are leaves, flowers, stars, hearts, diamonds, all of which I have used for both applique and traditional embroidery. And then of course with that CD you have the bonus quilt instructions too! I have not made the quilt, but I have used the designs multiple times. I have not purchased any of the other embroidery CD's that accuquilt sells, but I can vouch for several of the Sarah Vedeler sets.

Good to know. They certainly are pricey, perhaps becuase of the Sarah Vedeler name. I'm on the sidelines for a bit here. I'd love to read reviews on the Go! embroidery.
