need Scrapbbok software Looking for suggestion

The pix are starting to change colors and that yucky black paper is just a disaster and has aged to the point it is falling apart. I want some suggestons as to a good software program to scan those big pix - I think the papers are 9 by 16 inches. I will put them on a hard drive - or "in the clouds" as y daughter suggests so she and her 2 cousins can have access.I want to scan the whole page @ one tie rather than pix individually. I have an old flatbed hp scanner, but I think I have read of more sophisticated software since then - or hardware. Please help me or email me: gailxx@gmail.com if you have any ideas.
