I am going to cosmetology school and our uniforms are either blue or khaki colored plain v-neck scrub tops w pants. I want to make interchangeable collars, sleeve cuffs and pockets. I have ideas for the cuffs and pockets but need help with the collars. Does anyone know of a pattern that would work or how do I draft one? I'm older and don't wear a lot of jewelry for color like the younger students do so this is my option and the instructors are anxious to see what I come up with. I want many in seasonal and fun prints. All ideas will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, Zoomom77

I would think any of the classic v-neck would work as long as you ignore their instructions. I always do. I would finish the neck seam allowance edge and apply soft velcro, turn it under and top stitch it down. Finish your v inset as a separate piece and put velcro on it . That way you can change out the collar color. Might work.

If you look for vintage collar patterns you might get lucky. There are quite a few out there that are just for collars and cuffs, separate pieces that you can fit under your own clothes to change their look. Is that the sort of thing you meant?
