Date: 1/6/12 12:04 PM Blogging isn't personal. Once you put something online be prepared for anyone to see it. If anything you shouldn't blog under your real name. Otherwise no one would be the wiser. Blogging isn't designed to be personal. Defeats the whole purpose and use of it. Not quite sure why you would be so upset for people in your small town to see it. And having a blog isn't anything against faith. What's wrong with sewing?

Date: 1/6/12 12:16 PM I decided from the beginning to put my real name (first and last) out there, since my blog name doesn't make sense without it. I do understand the uncomfortableness of it tho.
I don't post pictures of my kids on there, except this baby and only because I do have a lot of friends that wanted to see her, and she is so small she looks different in a short time (I don't post my older child). I don't keep the kids' names a secret (or mine or the DH). I also post my cell phone number on there if anyone needs help.
I kind of went the opposite way with the uncomfortable feeling and went way far out there. You look up my last name in the state and you will find a good portion of my family, and that's not knowing the town I live in.
Ultimately, this is a decision you have to make about it. If you are that uncomfortable about it, and can't get over it, then maybe finding another outlet for sharing would be more beneficial. Determining what you are getting out of blogging and weighing the pros and cons may help you decide what to do. |

Date: 1/6/12 12:53 PM If you put identifiable details out there you need to think about whether a post could give information which could be used against you by a criminal or someone unscrupulous. For example, saying the family is going on a trip could mean advertising your house being empty. ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn

Date: 1/13/12 0:49 AM Me too - abolutely love it. Love your style, both sewing and shoes.
I did not see the original post but I did want to say I hope you continue to blog. ------ Cheap fabrics, like cheap shoes, are a false economy.

Date: 1/19/12 2:55 AM I stumbled onto your blog today after seeing someone else referred to it, Blessed, I have not enjoyed myself so much reading your blog and how creative you were. I could never wear such clothes as I am a old tart and big but I loved how you see something you like, then go and find a pattern to alter and find the ideal fabric..
And not to mention your shoes!! They are to die for :)
I posted your link on the downunder pages so the girls there could have a look also.. Your web is really a treat..
I think you have hit the nail on the head for how it is set up and how you are doing it but at the end of the day, its your blog and what you decide goes but I did enjoy it and it distracted me from my home life for awhle.. thank you.. Plus your use of different fabrics which I have never heard of, I discovered.. so it was a learning curv also.. a pleasant learning curv ...
Again, thank you..

Date: 1/19/12 7:11 AM Your blog is right up my alley. Up to college, I had to wear uniforms to school so, I tell you, this really affected my [lack of] fashion sense. But I've done okay by doing what you do: taking designs I like and copying them (although you do it WAY better than I!)
