Date: 1/9/12 9:32 AM Have any of y'all seen this fabric:
Designer chevron fabric
Looks like Missoni...but it's way cheaper. Is this the real deal, or knockoff fabric? ------ Erin in Dallas

Date: 1/9/12 9:37 AM Elliott Berman has a few Missoni fabrics. Just based on the fabric content Fabric.com might be a knock off but I don't know much about the textiles Missoni uses in their collection. ------ I'm finally a blogger!

Date: 1/9/12 10:54 AM Here's a Missoni knit for comparison. I've had a hard time not buying this.

Date: 1/9/12 10:56 AM I have seen the fabrics in person at elliot berman and at a few other vendors.
I hate to be a sorehead but if you didn't see the name Missoni on the fabrics your reaction would probably be "meh"
buy what you like. it could be that the Missoni stuff making it to the fabric stores here is the same fabric that the missoni people are saying "meh" to . don't be seduced by the brand name alone. if the fabric makes you sing...then get it. If it's the fancy name leave it behind. ------ sarah in nyc

Date: 1/9/12 11:10 AM Didn't Missoni do a line for Target? Could it be that fabric? Not that I'm a Missoni expert but I have a hard time believing real Missoni would be polyester as the Fabric.com website states this fabric is. ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 1/9/12 11:14 AM No because it predated the Target line by a couple of years ------ sarah in nyc

Date: 1/9/12 11:17 AM I have a missoni shell from target, and it is polyester. If you like it, buy it, and don't fret about it's origin.... ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 1/9/12 11:30 AM I don't understand what you mean. The Missoni for Target was just last Fall, wasn't it? ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 1/9/12 11:41 AM The Missoni fabric was available at Elliot berman and at a few other places in the garment district well over a year ago...so i doubt that it was from the missoni at target production line. I have seen both linen knit and wool knit Missoni in the garment district.l Some of it is drool worthy. Much of it,as I stated before...ot much to write home about once you divorce the fabric from the fancy name. ------ sarah in nyc

Subject: Fabric.com Designer Chevron Fabric Date: 1/9/12 11:42 AM I actually had in mind one or two of them because they have our "colors." The scale of the zig zags is too small for me, but would make a cute pullover/tunic for my little girl. ------ Erin in Dallas
