Oh man.. I should stay outta the stores.. I see too much I like..
Of course I see too much I like on line too.. but........
Went to Bed Bath and Beyond.. noticed some pictures.. about 12 X l8 high.. looked a lot like paper pattern covers without writing.. in other words.. ladies dressed in dresses sorta.. cute .. but thats not the best thing they had..
Back in the department with hooks and so forth.. there were those wire dressforms.. some about 20 inches tall. but thats not the best thing.. the best thing I saw were...
Three smaller wire dress forms in a package.. about four or five inches high.. with hooks .. so you can put them on the wall and hang a bag or such from them.. l9.99 per package.. but you could use those 20 percent off coupons easily.
Then I went to Hancocks.. will I ever learn not to look at the new stuff until I have used up all my old.. guess not.. as they had that french script fabric.. looks like linen background.. and the postage stamp fabric.. again.. same background.. In more than one colorway too. Then .. to make matters worse.. the clerk tells me they have a lot of this french stuff coming in..
Strangely enough I am seeing more sewing themed items everywhere. even in stamps and papercrafts.. Sew we are gaining in popularity ladies..
You better believe I am going to snag those hooks.and they would make a fabulous gift for someone that sews.. and I am not saying that just cause my Birthday is the l3th either.. |

Date: 1/9/12 9:10 PM I still don't have my selves up yet but those dress form hooks sound cute... probably the most affordable dress form I'd own, if I got them. But I'm on a shopping fast, the only thing I'm bringing home are groceries. ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Date: 1/9/12 9:36 PM I snagged some of the French postage stamp fabric last week to make one of those bulletin boards for my sewing room, the kind with criss-crossed ribbon. I think I'll have enough left for a bag. Actually, my husband went by Hancock's for me to pick it up and he liked it so much, he said, "I can't believe you only bought one yard since it was half price."
Those hooks sound wonderful! |

Warbler I hear you. I have tried and tried NOT to add any more silly things.. or things that need dusting.. or storing off season.. or just stuff you know.. that stuff that creeps into your life.. and multiples like rabbits..
So I have not bought those hooks yet.. but after sleeping on it.. I think I will regret it if I don't.. At least they are practical.. very practical really.. and affordable. And so I think that will be my Birthday present to me.. as a new machine is NOT affordable. sigh.. |
