I just got a whole bunch of nice home dec weight swatches from fabric.com, some of which would make nice tableware. But even the fabrics that are %100 cotton or natural fibers say "dry clean only". Does this imply that they are scotch guarded? Is there any way around thisCan I just ignore the label and hope for the best?

What do you use for tablecloths if you know they'll need to be thrown in the wash?

Can you cut off a little piece and toss it in the washer/dryer? I've come to realize, quite a few cottons that say "dry clean only" do just fine in a delicate wash and a light dry.
