Date: 1/12/12 3:22 PM my husband just called mt at work to see how I felt about him taking the youngest 3 kids away for the weekend to see his sister...
I tried to hide my excitement, I really did.....but knowing they ALL have off work/school this weekend and Monday is also a holiday...
the giddiness that came with the thought of being home practically alone with 400+ yards of my fabric stash for 3 days was more than I could contain.

Date: 1/12/12 3:24 PM I don't even have kids, and I get quite intoxicated thinking about having the house to myself and hours of sewing time (with loud music...)... so I guess I'm a bad wife also! ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 1/12/12 3:36 PM Oh, I don't think your a bad wife, it is just that he is a good husband. And, sometimes, you really do have to divide up those visits to the relatives to fit them all in and still retain your sanity. Now, if he comes home and isn't able to find the bed because you set up an additional cutting table up in the bedroom and cut about 80 yards of fabric for projects without picking up a little....................well, then

Date: 1/12/12 3:58 PM When our kids were younger my husband took them to visit his sister for the weekend. I hadn't been home for two days alone in about 10 years. I felt like doing the "Tom Cruise" dance in Risky Business. ------ Barb

Subject: Im a bad wife Date: 1/12/12 4:05 PM LOL. We don't have children yet but from this thread I've learned that I'll need to hint at DH to do stuff like this occasionally so I can get some free and no-guilt home alone time. Enjoy it! ------ I'm finally a blogger!
