That was a nice demo. But I like my quilting to be more dense so I suppose you could anchor each seam but then go back and fill in more quilting because everything is already smoothed and secured. I you did that with a row of blocks, you could still go back and add more quilting... But I think that's one of the things that attract people to it. Those of us that are free motion challenged like myself lol. Or hate wrestling with a queens size quilt with a regular machine. When I first started quilting hand quilting was all the rage but I hear less and less about it now. For me personally isn't an option as I have two thumb bone spur and hand sewing really sets them off. Also can be an easier method if you are using embroidery to quilt as a whole quilt can put quite a drag on a hoop.

Will do either a twin quilt or a wall hanging. It's good use up stash project. I have a lot of animal fabrics left over from my big quilt project, speaking of which I still have to bind. That's what I should work on and since the white fluffy shedding dog have left us. I could display it maybe. As it is the most ambitious and best project I've ever done. But it's backing and shashing are black. I think tgm you've just help me decide my next project. I've wanted to do something else with these fabrics. I collected quite a few animal prints.

I have to say going smoothly. I better not talk too loud. I'm making it about 40" by 40" and using my wolf fabrics. You still have to safety pin or other method the batting to the backing to keep it smooth. But it does go fast. Hope to do some more work on it tonight.
