I think I might be confusing myself...The pattern I have is simplicity (its a shirt pattern) so I'm assuming it will use US terms but I'm buying fabric in the UK. I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy the right fabric.
For suggested materials Pattern says broadcloth, gingham, satin.
Now Broadcloth...I thought that was just wide cloth? Is it a US term for a specific fabric? What would be the UK equivalent?

I like this fabric but not sure if its the right thing?

Broadcloth is a solid-color cotton or cotton-poly shirtweight woven. Here (in the US) you usually find it with the quilting fabrics. It's not typically all that "broad," running around 45" (um... 113 cm). The fabric you linked to isn't what I'd call broadcloth, but it will probably work fine for your blouse!
