Silver Star ES-85AF GFS Iron Does yours stink when on?

My husband says it's a silicone smell, and I thought it would go away but no such luck. I bought it used, so I just wanted to ask anyone else who has this brand if theirs smells, too? If so, then can anyone who has a GFS that doesn't smell bad let me know which brand it is? Thanks - I am really sold on the GFS, it's just that I really can't stand the smell this one makes :-(. ------ The picture is of my dog, Hailey - I'm usually the one taking the pictures, so have no recent ones of myself! I wonder if another brand would not have as much odor - maybe someone will know here? Once I decided I liked the way it worked so much better, I've been wanting to upgrade since this one has no heat shielding and makes my hand way too hot after a while. I've seen that some folks think the best one is the Naomoto (but it's expensive) and I don't know why (unless it's that it's difficult to find parts for some of the other brands). Thinking about it, I often don't use the water, so I don't think it would be from the demineralizer. Does anyone know?
