Date: 1/21/12 1:11 PM I have a cute Peanuts embroidery CD and am wondering how I can get the design to my Artista 630. I have purchased a Bernina USB stick, and I have the Bernina Embroidery Software 6 cd to put on my laptop. Can I place the design file on to the USB and then to my sewing machine without the use of the Bernina software? And, what is the embroidery software all about? My class at the dealer did not cover this. I'd appreciate any assistance from someone who is embroidering with their Bernina machines. |

Date: 1/21/12 4:32 PM What format is the Peanuts CD? Your 630 takes .EXP. If the designs are in .EXP, you can transfer from your cd to the USB stick. If they are not, you need to open the design up in your Bernina software (you can choose the format in the drop down menu that opens up for you to choose the design file) and have it convert the design into .EXP and send to the USB stick by clicking on the Card/Machine write in the File dropdown menu. Choose which options pertain to your 630 and it should write it to your USB. I have the free ARTlink, but have never used it. I use Embird. Embroidery software allows me to make a larger design by adding several together, adds text. You can enlarge or make a design smaller. Of course, there are limited editing abilities on your 630, so if you don't do much editing, that's all you should need other than to convert any files that aren't in .EXP. ------ ~Diana~

Date: 1/21/12 6:32 PM Thank you so much! That clears up a lot of questions I had, and yes, my Peanuts cd does have exp. Looks like I need to get busy here and start embriodering. |

Date: 1/21/12 7:44 PM You're welcome. Even though the .exp is not the same as the Bernina .exp, I have had no problems stitching these designs out on 2 Bernina's. Have fun with your embroidery! ------ ~Diana~
