Years ago when I began making tote bags I used Trigger -a bottom-weight polyester/cotton fabric. I know it is no longer manufactured. A replacement was called Blazer Poplin but now that is discontinued too. Does anyone know of a similar fabric and source.

I was surprised to read that it was no longer being made.. it use to be a stock/staple item.. Some of these are harder to find. for example I never come across sailcloth.. but I do know its still made.. as the upholstery shops use it a lot. Glad you found some trigger..

A textile company called Elite Trigger offers it wholesale but it is being sold at Fabrics Online where I purchased 6 yards - 2yds each black, brown and khaki. I am planning to make more totes and give them as gifts. My hair stylist loved the bag I made for myself so I am making one for her and her daughter. The bag below is not mine but an image similar
