Date: 1/24/12 12:14 PM I'm now 3 months along with baby number 3 & it's getting close to time for some maternity sewing (yay!). But I'm going to need some fabric 4-way stretch. I'd love to be able to buy some yardage in multiple colors (solids are best) from one place. Any suggestions?? ------ http://www.seamstressintraining.blogspot.com |

Date: 1/25/12 10:08 AM Has anyone previously bought any of the Swiss 4-way stretch marec mentioned that's on sale right now for 24 hours at Gorgeous Fabrics? Weight, hand, ease of sewing? Is it opaque?
It's described as having 50% crosswise stretch and 20% lengthwise. Beautiful spring-y colors.

Date: 1/25/12 11:48 AM That is a great price! I just wish there were some dark colors for sale too.
JennaF: Try www.Fabric.com. They carry a lot of knits w/4-way stretch.
The Sewing Studio (WA) has some called Natalie. It is 90% cotton/10% spandex.
Good luck with your search. -- Edited on 1/25/12 11:49 AM -- ------ Judy |

Lots of yummy, soft fabrics. Plus there are many in natural fibers. I don't know about you but I was a furnace when I was pregnant. ------ http://kimsewsilly.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 1/26/12 11:43 AM Christine Jonson has some great fabrics you might like to use. And her patterns are easy, and probably adaptable for you to use during your pregnancy. The fabrics are really pretty too. Have fun! |

Date: 1/26/12 11:49 AM Spandex House or World. I've heard good things about both, and had a good experience with the one with the pink logo (other than my items showing up covered in glitter). |

Date: 3/6/12 2:30 PM I got some 4 way stretch knit from fabricmart for extremely reasonable prices --$6-8/yd--which I've been using for maternity wear. Their delivery is super fast too!
