I soooo love the Bernina skins you can get for your SM's. I guess it's not going to make me go out an buy a Bernina...but if they come up with one that has Hello Kitty there's really no telling what I might do.

Can someone convince Viking and Janome to come out with skins? It would be soooo cool!

I thought the skin idea was AWESOME, but when I mentioned in my monthly Bernina club, most people just said "Why? Why would want one?" I guess they aren't so popular with everyone... but my local dealer got a hold of one and gave to me - it is so cute!!!

Before that, I had some printable clear plastic that clings to windows. you can print your picture or design right on it and just press in onto the machine.

@quathy, Yeah I found another thread with the very same topic...guess I should look closer. I LOVE that idea of printing my own clings!!! Oh...I may just have myself a Hello Kitty D1 soon.

I'd like to put some decals, but not a skin, on my Activa. Where can I get ones that peel off with zero residue like Colorforms (I'm dating myself, I know)?

What about some of the wall paper stickers? They are removable and there are a lot of motifs. I think these things are more popular in Asia but you can find sellers on Ebay. I recently put a kitty one on my Janome.

Maia B - No worries...one of my prized posessions as a kid was my Holly Hobbie colorforms. Loved it!!! I also had some Peanuts ones...but nothing was better than Holly Hobbie.

I actually have some cricut vinyl here in black. Need more colors!!!Will see what I can do with my cricut. Maybe I'll go check at Michaels and see if they have the printable stuff.

I had Peanuts and and a Barbie-esque colorform set, loved them. My Holly Hobbie doll was accidentally decapitated by my brother :(. Thanks for the cricut vinyl idea!

Um, I still own Colorforms! I have a set of Pee Wee Herman, which I thought was so hilarious because such a "new" character on Colorforms is so funny! Well, it was new when I got them, anyway

You can find the printable no-residue plasticy stuff at office supply stores. It's not as soft as the Colorform plastic, but it works. I found a package of it near where you would see the printable tee shirt iron-ons, printable greeting cards, etc. I think they are sold for window clings, but they'll stick to refrigerators, too! Here's a link to some I found at Office Depot - http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/212881/Office-Depot-Brand-Inkjet-Static-Cling/
