Date: 1/28/12 1:23 PM Ok I just got and Idea. I have some nice cotton fabric. My son wears boxer shorts. I never made him any. In your experiance what pattern is the best fitting that you used.

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Date: 1/28/12 1:58 PM How about taking apart an old pair? Probably faster and cheaper than a pattern. |

Date: 1/28/12 2:52 PM I've used Simplicity 9958 to make a couple pairs for my husband. I did shorten the second pair an 1"; he thought the first pair was a little too long. At any rate, we wears both pairs frequently. |

Date: 1/28/12 3:35 PM I used the boxer pattern from Jan Bones' Lingerie Secrets pattern line for my son: http://www.sewinglingerie.com/patterns/index.html. They looked very ready-to-wear. Jan would be happy to answer any questions about her patterns. She is very nice. ------ Land of the free because of the brave.

Date: 1/28/12 10:13 PM I use the Sis Boom patterns for my hubby and sons. There is no back seam which they seem to like.

Although the pattern photo shows a girl, they are very definitely unisex patterns. ------ Wendy

Date: 1/28/12 10:55 PM I've read some good reviews for the First Choice Boxers pattern by Timberlane Press, too. I have the pattern, but I haven't tried it yet. |

Date: 1/28/12 11:07 PM I like the Jalie pattern 2326. However I think the Kwik sew one is pretty good too. I had made it previously but lost the pattern somewhere along the way! ------ Sue (Toowoomba Qld)

Date: 1/28/12 11:32 PM I've used the Timberlane Press boxer patterns for YEARS. I started when my oldest was 7 yrs old, and he's 29 now. I am still making them for both my boys. One of the small group of patterns that I have gotten my monies worth. |
