Date: 1/29/12 2:44 PM I have been slacking off for 6 months on a baby quilt I promised DH I'd make for his boss, who's first grandchild was born this summer. Out of desperation, I threw together this top using the strip tube method... SO fast and easy! I google it and watched a demonstration, then made the top and quilted it this morning. Now to get it bound and breathe a sigh of relief!
It's bright!

Date: 1/29/12 4:35 PM That is truly awesome, CJ. Your husband's boss' whole family is going to be so impressed, and so am I.
Love the patterns you used for your quilting and you did a great job.
The pieced colors and shapes are perfect for a baby.
Well done. |

Date: 1/29/12 6:07 PM Thanks! It was such a fun method (the strip tubing) that I'm starting another with some jelly roll fabric! ------ Bernina Artista 630 ✂ Bernina Aurora 430 ✂ Bernina 1300MDC ✂ Babylock BLCS ✂ APQS Millennium ✂ Juki TL2010Q ✂ Singer 201-2 ✂ Singer 301 ✂ Singer 401A ✂ Singer 15-91 ✂ Singer Featherweight 222K ✂ Singer Featherweight 221

Date: 1/29/12 9:09 PM I Googled strip tube quilts and watched a YouTube videio. What a fun technique - especially if you have a Accuquilt Go cutter. ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

It really is fun and easy to do, I'd heard of strip tubes before but hadn't tried one. ------ Bernina Artista 630 ✂ Bernina Aurora 430 ✂ Bernina 1300MDC ✂ Babylock BLCS ✂ APQS Millennium ✂ Juki TL2010Q ✂ Singer 201-2 ✂ Singer 301 ✂ Singer 401A ✂ Singer 15-91 ✂ Singer Featherweight 222K ✂ Singer Featherweight 221
