Date: 1/31/12 2:02 AM I made a quilt top, which was supposed to be a rail fence pattern, but, due to serious lapses in concentration, is more a broken fence

I was debating whether to use the 'fabric' for a patchwork jacket. I have a very simple pattern, edge to edge style with a shawl collar, and think there is enough fabric to do it [will obviously check first] With maybe a fleece lining? Date: 1/31/12 8:44 AM It would be a great jacket... but it's also a great quilt! I think you might be amazed at how wonderful it looks once it's quilted! ------ Bernina Artista 630 ✂ Bernina Aurora 430 ✂ Bernina 1300MDC ✂ Babylock BLCS ✂ APQS Millennium ✂ Singer 201-2 ✂ Singer 301 ✂ Singer 401A ✂ Singer 15-91 ✂ Singer Featherweight 222K ✂ Singer Featherweight 221

Date: 1/31/12 9:26 PM Well, truth be told, I think it is a boffo quilt. I am not a huge lover of the rail fence pattern, but I love what your lapse in concentration created.
OTOH, I think it would make an excellent jacket if that is what you want to do with it. ------ Barb |

Date: 2/1/12 9:32 AM I like it as a quilt. Really. I once made a rail fence quilt and when I look at it, I get a headache. If that was my quilt, I would go ahead and quilt it. JMO |
