Date: 2/4/12 9:17 PM So check out lyour style rocks
This is an interesting website - people send in drawings of fashions they have designed to a competition, and the site owners (who must be designers) who are in Germany, make up a pattern of the winner. I made their 'Everywhere Tails Pattern" (see review). You download it for free, and can print out and stick together sheets or paper, or much better download an A0 size sheet, upload it to your nearest printshop and pick up the 3ft size patterns the next day (cost me $10). The instructions - with some pix are downloaded separately. Please check the sizes very carefully - go by your measurements! They are not conventional sizes. Am going to try the Eva Dress next, looks great.
Note, the instructions are ...brief ....some sewing knowledge goes a long way! |

Date: 2/5/12 1:23 AM To first try out the printing to tabloid size paper, I picked up the hoodie/shrug first. It should look very cute on DD.
The Eva dress is very pretty. What kind of knit ( weigh t& stretch %) did you choose for it? |

Yeah, I can put in my favorites, but really, I tend to lose those since I rebuild my computers nearly every 6 months. ------ Evelyn: Pfaff Creative Performance

Date: 2/27/12 1:49 AM I used a merino knit - not sure of the exact stretch as I didn't especially try it out.
After having made my muslin in a cotton jersey, I can say it definitely benefits from using a knit with more drape to it, which the merino has.
You can see my review here if you would like to see how it worked out for me. ------ Wendy
