Okay. While it appears that with my schedule I'll be sewing on Saturday and Sunday Mornings, I try to get either projects, experiments, or home deco / crafts done. I'm still trying to perfect my eReader cover.

So, I'm gonna show off what I've done - all with the Baby Lock that I just got last week from the beau's father.

By the way, a special shout out to Mufffet for the manual. I cannot THANK YOU enough for it! I have been referring to it CONSTANTLY! Thank you, Mufffet!!!

BTW, I haven't done any clothing yet. I'm playing around with the Baby Lock since it is a "new to me" machine and I am trying to get to know her. So all I've got right now are craft projects. I'm not going to show the eReader cover I did. Although useful, it is wretched and needs some serious improving - TOTALLY NOT ready for even "sneak preview" let alone prime time.

Drawstring Pouches

Lined drawstring pouch - first project on the Baby Lock.

Dice / trinket drawstring pouch - closed - this is an experiment. Drawstring pouch that lays as a flat circle when you open it. Meant to hold a set of dungeons and dragons dice - I am hoping for it to be a product in my Etsy shop when I am ready to open. Right now I am in "Research & Design" stage.

Dice / trinket drawstring pouch - open - meant to be the "throw area" for the dice. You can see my D&D dice and little rogue playing piece.

Hem detail - I had originally wanted a blindstitch hem. I even tried one using the blindstitch hem presser foot from the Singer. Stitching that hem is far more difficult than I thought it would be. It was a horrible mess just 1/3rd of the way through so I took it out and simply hemmed with a decorative stitch just so I can have a completed project that was something other than a drawstring pouch.

What about you? Got any brag pictures of projects from this weekend? Let's do this weekly on Sunday afternoons/evenings, even if a project is not complete. Use this thread to BRAG about your stuff!

I like to set aside my weekends for sewing too, especially Sunday as two Saturdays a month I teach quilting. But all I have to show for my day today is two pair of pants hemmed for a client, and a quilt top pinned for class. But I'm looking forward to next weekend, i.e., Sunday, because then I can cut out fabric!

BTW: Love that cover! And the machine is cute; just ready for you to play with.

EDITED TO ADD: I gave a friend's daughter the same machine as your Singer. Such a workhorse!

Thanks Miss Fairchild!

That means next weekend you'll be showing us cut fabric, right? RIGHT???

BTW, my Singer has been relegated to the closet as a back up machine. I don't know what it is with her, but there are too many issues that I don't feel comfortable sewing on her now that I was given a Baby Lock. I'm having FUN now!
