After an inauspicious start and making poor Kathi trek several more miles down the coast to find us (sorry again, Kathi!!) we got into the district thanks to her fab directions. We had a great afternoon of shopping. I got all the fabric needed for my new gown, my friend who went looking for one gown's worth got enough for two and the friend who insisted she wasn't in need of a gown got enough for one:-).

And tremendous bargains, thanks to my friend, as a bonus. Now it is time for what she calls "wine o'clock" and a trip to the theater!

Glad you are having a great time. I've been designing and creating dance costumes professionally fr many years and downtown LA has been my haunt forever. If you can't find it there, it doesn't exist!

I live much too close to downtown Los Angeles and my stash proves it.
