Date: 2/6/12 2:14 PM I'm a former. Went to junior high and high school there as well as having our first home there for 17 years. The neighborhood grade school principal was vice principal at the high school I went too; that was interesting. Started sewing there! And bought my Pfaff 1229 there; along with husband and sons Cut my teeth on designer end cuts at the Marcus brothers outlet and hopped the bus into Dallas to check out the clothing at Neiman's for design ideas. And, unlike here, most of the women I knew in the DFW area sewed garments and/or quilts. Our sewing group had over thirty members. -- Edited on 2/6/12 2:24 PM -- ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |

Date: 2/6/12 2:36 PM I was a fighting farmer from Lewisville TX. Transplanted from arkansas and now back in Arkansas. I really loved the weather there. I used to love to hang my clothes out to dry and it seems they would be dry in no time and soft. Whereas here it takes forever to dry and the clothes are stiff as a board. |

Date: 2/6/12 5:27 PM My hometown is Waxahachie, although I lived in Arlington, Ft Worth and Addison most of the time as an adult. Except the time I moved to Tennessee, went back home and got sucked back into the black hole they call my county.
(Which means I'm here in TN again.) |

Date: 2/7/12 0:19 AM North Dallas here! We keep trying to move farther west and keep staying here - ah, well. Love the fabric stores, at least. And LOVING this "winter" weather. Sigh. I love going outside with just a light jacket for warmth. ------ Kit
