Thinking of getting the 730 replacement. Does anyone know if they will make it come with the embroidery unit like they do with the 580E?
I heard it will not have a larger harp space.

I think we'll have to wait till what, July to find out? I heard no larger harp area as well, and I'm sure it will come with the embroidery unit. It's too high up in the food chain to not come with it!

I hope it has dual feed. I think a lot of folks who don't want the heft or hefty price of the 8 series would really enjoy Bernina dual feed.

Yeah, dual feed would be awesome.
I however, was forced to bless my son with a trailer instead of me with a new machine. I am so thrilled to be back into my sewing room, that I am no longer interested in any other high end machines.
I have decided that having a huge harp area would be the only reason to have a new machine, and that's only if I really get into quilting.

Food chain nothing. The $$$ amont is going to be really high. I bet near the $9000 mark. I wonder what it will be called and if it is a new series being made.

As for me, still waiting for my 630. I had hoped it would be this week. It seems like it has been years and not just 10 days ago I decided the 630 is IT.

I'd like an hybrid of the 830/580, within a normal size machine.

I live in another country from the Bernina dealer (2hours flight) and bringing back home my B530 was already a stress, I pray I won't have to take it back to the dealer too often.
The B820/830 are out of reach also because of their size and weight (and price of course, but that's another thing). But if Bernina is making a 7 something that has many features of the B830 + new ones and is normal size, I smell a huuuuuge crush coming my way.

Of course since it will replace the 730, it will be priced higher than the 580E and lower than the 830. My guess is around $7000. Maybe they'll offer a 7 series. One with embroidery, one without like the 8 series? We will know in July.

I'm not sure they'll add a lot of the features of the 8 series to the one/ones coming out in July. I think they'll want them to remain exclusive to the 820/830 so people will want to buy them. I'm thinking harp size, dual feed. But you never know.

I think it'll be higher than $7K. Mine was $6700 brand new, and her price was better than Bernina's special quilt show price at the time. I think the retail at the time was like $7500.
Like the 500 series, there could be a month of special introductory pricing too.
Maybe these will have something all their own that no other Bernina has, lol. I am going to be sooo happy to set mine up tonight! It's sitting in my recovered sewing room, ready for play!
